The artists attending were Adrian Mauriks, Peter Cole, Jacek Grzlecki, Colin Duggett, all of whom lecture in particular aspects of the visual arts at the Gippsland Institute of Advanced Education, and Ray Woolard.
Adrian Mauriks, who together with Benalla Gallery Director, Audray Banfield, initiated the exhibition "15 Sculptors", said that, in the past few years, sculpture in Australia had began developing in accordance with Australian influences, rather than being dependant on overseas trends. He said Australian sculpture was now being accepted as an expressive medium.
